HIIT Workout Friday! It Works 5-8-15

HIIT FRIDAY

BRING IT!

                                     


Hey Guys! Today's HIIT focuses a lot on legs. 

So let's go over the guidelines! 

  1. Do as many rounds as possible within 20 min, with a rest period of 10-15 sec between sets.
  2. find your target heart rate and try to stay within it for max fat burning zone. 
  3. Formula to find your max heart rate is 220-your age. Mine is 183 beats per minute. 
  4. HIIT is ideal for two to three days a week, and should not be done back to back due to the intensity of the workout. Remember, its so intense that you will still be burning fat for up to 48 hours after your workout. 
  5. If you are pregnant, or have any type of medical condition, please consult with a doctor before trying HIIT or any workout routine.

  1. Plies hops/jumps- 30 sec
  2. Split squat- 10 each leg
  3. crisscross jacks- 30 sec
  4. push up plank- 10
  5. mtn climber- 30 sec
  6. reverse lunge with front kick- 12 each leg
